Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience?

Absolutely not. Please come exactly as you are! Our instructors are here to meet you where you’re at—whether you’ve never stepped on a mat before or you’re returning to martial arts. We pride ourselves on having a diverse community from all walks of life where every student feels comfortable and supported.

Do I need to be "in shape" to start?

No. There is no “perfect time” to start, and you don’t need to reach a certain fitness level before joining us. The best time to start a new path is right now. If you’re reading this, you’re ready!

What should I bring to my first class?

We keep it simple so you can focus on the experience. All you need is:

  • A pair of socks

  • A water bottle

  • An adventurous sprits!

Note: We will provide a uniform (Gi) for you to borrow during your trial period.

How do I sign up?

The best way to start is to simply show up and dive in! We offer a generous trial period so you can make sure our Dojo is the right fit for you:

  • Adults: 2 FREE weeks of classes.

  • Juniors (Ages 7–13): 1 FREE week of classes.

Once your trial is over: If you’re ready to join the family, just speak with Sensei Jason or Dai Senpai Aaron. They will help you with the paperwork, order your custom Gi and class book, and set up your tuition. It’s that simple.
