Sensei Marc HANSEN

In Rememberance of

Sensei Marc, a man in a black martial arts uniform standing in front of a wooden wall and white background, with patches on his uniform indicating martial arts rank and affiliation.

The Chochin Dojo family deeply mourns the passing of Sensei Marc Hansen, who left us in July 2025. Sensei Marc was more than just a teacher—he was a guide, a mentor, and a cherished member of Ten Chi Wa Bujuitsukan family. His presence shaped his dojo and enriched the lives of countless students and their families. Sensei Marc’s deep dedication to the martial arts, his students, and the values he upheld left an enduring mark on all of us. The quiet strength, discipline, and respect he instilled continue to echo in every class and every technique practiced by those who trained under him. We are eternally grateful for his guidance and leadership.

Sensei Marc Hansen achieved significant mastery and certification in his martial arts journey:

  • Shinan Menkyo (4th Level Instructor Certification): In January 2011, he was awarded this prestigious rank within the Ten-Chi-Wa Bujutsukan Organization under Kancho Chadwick Minge (Founder and owner of the Ten Chi Wa Bujutsukan). Kancho Minge’s steadfast refusal to compromise quality in his traditional training meant that few achieved this high level, underscoring Sensei Marc’s exceptional commitment.

  • Multiple Dan Rankings: He also held Dan rankings in both Genbukan Ninpo Taijutsu and the Kokusai Jujutsu Renmei.

He will be deeply missed, but his dedication, wisdom, and spirit will forever be a guide to those who were blessed to know him.
